Volunteer Registration Procedure

Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering with Special Olympics in Kingston!

There are a couple important steps to becoming a volunteer with Special Olympics Ontario,
  1. Complete a Volunteer Registration Form (click the button above)
  2. Provide an original Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed within the last 6 months.  Many police services will provide these checks free of charge when presented with a copy of the Police Check Request Letter at the time of your request. This is at the discretion of the police service and cannot be guaranteed by Special Olympics.
If possible, please provide both an telephone number and email address for the references you named on your registration form. Let your references know we will be contacting them by phone or via email to complete an reference check.  Delays in receiving their responses will delay your involvement.

A member of the Special Olympics Volunteer Team may contact you for a brief interview.

Once your references and Police checks have been received and processed you will be issued a Special Olympics Ontario membership number.  Please understand that for the safety of our athletes, you will unable to participate in any Special Olympics Ontario activities until your registration is complete and you have been issued a Special Olympics membership number.

We look forward to welcoming you onto the Special Olympics Ontario Volunteer Team in Kingston!
